I am trying to use a piece of hardware that has Windows-only Software to drive it.

When I plug the device into USB (or if VPC starts-up with the device plugged-in) then there is some flashing on the USB indicator - then Windows gives an error as if the device had just been yanked-out.

Also if I look at the USB settings it turns off the device - and even if I reselect it - the next time I look at the USB prefs it is unselected again!

What's going on here? Does VPC just not work with some USB devices? Am I doing something wrong? I have tried this on various macs and various Win OSes - but every time it does not work.

I have the same problem too, with a scanner. It's USB 2 and works great on the PC, but in VPC it just stops at calibration time. I bought the scanner without realising it didn't work in the Mac.
Rockstar Games - better than reality.

Thanks for the info - I suppose they'll be too busy making it work with the G5 to fix this in the next version.

We can hope I suppose.
