Gent, Belgium -- October 23, 2003 -- As the Internet expands, having a distinct style for your site becomes increasingly important. Today MacRabbit announced a major update to CSSEdit, the cascading style sheet editor that actually makes designing your site a joy.
CSSEdit 1.5 introduces new ways of creating your site's look. In the past, you would open a style sheet in a text editor and start the tedious coding process. Once every while you previewed the changes in your browser. CSSEdit breaks from tradition by placing your site in the center. You start out with your page and transform it into a piece of art. Every change you make is instantly visible, without constantly having to save your document and open a browser.
Featuring much enhanced visual editors, version 1.5 makes it even easier and straightforward to change all your style attributes. Fonts, colors, borders, backgrounds, positioning,… it all becomes a snap.
For those wanting to edit the source directly, there is now also a powerful source environment. Retaining CSSEdit's remarkable organizing features, the source editor has everything the advanced coder wants, and more. Customizable syntax coloring and auto-indentation will certainly make for a pleasant experience. But what really makes it shine, is the intelligent auto-completion. Type a letter, and CSSEdit suggests what you might want to type. It adapts to your workflow, remembering what you use most. You will end up typing far less than before.
Power and ease of use are no longer mutually exclusive. With its sleek interface, CSSEdit will allow you to work more efficiently and enjoyably.

Very nice and well made.
Makes me wonder why I bought Style Master (slow), or why I bother watching paint dry... uh, I mean, Dreamweaver MX 04 do its thing (elegantly, it must be said, but so slow it must be from some bygone age, when people drove horse carriages or something).
Good nag screens, too. Not quite up to Omni level, but still

Dowloaded it. Evaluated it. Saw that all my criticisms of the previous version had been addressed, and then some. Opened the extended preview, with a page from my site. Watched in amazement as I edited the stylesheet and the page updated instantly after each edit. Wowed a the person next to me with this feature.
...went straight to web site and bought a licence.
This is fantastic software, and MacRabbit is the kind of Mac developer that deserver 100% support.
I have only 1 request remaining. Please, please Mr Mac Rabbit:
Write us an HTML editor !.

Great! Absolutely excellent release - well done
Live preview is perfect
I'll just mention that this is the first piece of shareware I've ever bought. Looking forwarding to getting my license code through

OK, I'm glad to see everyone is liking the update
As for a HTML editor, I'm afraid I can't do that all by myself. However, I would also like to see a good cooperation between CSSEdit and a good HTML editor. I'm very interested in making them interact, but writing an entirely new HTML editor right now is not an option I'm afraid. But you never know what other HTML editors suddenly pop up in the future

Wow ... just downloaded to see what all the yapping was about. VERY NICE ...
Since no one seems to be able to convince you to make an HTML editior, I will humbly suggest TacoEdit -- not quite as slick as your app but it handles pure HTML editing better than BBEdit, IMHO. Nice "live preview" as well. TacoEdit + CSSEdit looks like it will be a great combo for people who like having the control of hand coding but still like actually seeing what their code looks like immediately.
Thanks for the great work !!!

You may even forget Dreamweaver :-D
(I make al my website layouts just with CSS so no WYSIWYG HTML editor needed)
