Is it possible to create a mailling list in the Address book as I need to set up a mailing list to my computer science group (working on a project together). If this isn't possible, can anyone please give me possible solutions as to how i can do so. many thanks

They are called 'Groups' in address book. Just create a new Group, and drag all the relevant contacts from 'All' into the new group. Just like a playlist in iTunes, if you are familar with that program.

If you don't want everyone's individual address to show up in the e-mail, you can set this in Preferences. Also, don't use spaces in the group name, or Mail will complain.

If you have added groups* to your address book:

1) in Mail start composing a message then click the address book icon in the toolbar of the message (customise the toolbar if the icon isn't there).

2) Highlight the group you want to mail in the left hand column, then press either the To: or Cc: button

This will input all the group's addresses into the To: or Cc: field. Alternatively, you can drag and drop the group into the desired field.

* To add groups, open the Address Book application and click the + button in the bottom left hand corner. Drag and drop entries from your "All" listing to this group to add them to it.
