Has anyone gotten bit torrent 3.3 working on Panther? It crashes on both my Dual G5 and Powerbook 17 running Panther Retail version.

3.3 crashes in Panther retail for me too. I went back to 3.2.2a and it works fine.

Doesn't work for me either, guess it's back to 3.2.2...

Yea, I just download one too from a different Torrent site that works with Panther. It's good to have 3.3 back.

It works fine in the command line. Just download the full source from http://bitconjurer.org/BitTorrent/BitTorrent-3.3.tar.gz. Decompress the gzipped-tar file (tar zxf BitTorrent-3.3.tar.gz).

Launch BitTorrent by typing:

./btdownloadcurses.py --url <url where torrent is stored at>

or

./btdownloadcurses.py --responsefile <torrent file>

Like most other software that was released before Panther, it seems that programs like Bit Torrent, and Proteus will work if you did an Archive & Install, but will break after a clean one. Maybe copying over your old prefs might work.
Rockstar Games - better than reality.

I've been using Azureus. It's a Java Bit Torrent client, and it works great.

Hi!

I have read several reports that it works once you have installed the developer tools.

Taipan - dev tools installed in 10.3 here, latest official client still quits.

jokell - the version you linked to works, thanks!
