Does this option [in preferences] mean that it will leave the original font file that you have where it's at, but copy a douplicate to the user's font folder?


just making sure, because I'm kind of unclear about what it's asking.

Yes, that should be exactly what it does. I have the option turned off, and when I add fonts to the book, it moves the files into my ~/Library/Fonts directory.
