when i synch my ipod w/ my mac, does it sync with whats in my library at the time or whats in my Music folder

depends what you have enabled in your iTunes "prefs" / better Options

It only syncs with things that iTunes is aware of - songs that you can see in the iTunes list. Of course it's possible to have things in your Music folder that have not been loaded into iTunes (if for example, you do not use the Keep Music Folder organized option, or if you trashed and then rebuilt your iTunes library).

it keeps it organized it just synces what on the list, and i was wondering if that the way its supposed to work
