* New controller (shows time, chapter, etc)
* Floating text overlays using quartz extreme
* Can display closed captioning text
* More preferences (mute when getting incoming audio or video ichat, turn on closed captioning when player is muted, etc)
* Can play in fullscreen mode on one screen while you work on another screen (before, clicking anything on another screen would cause the player to go back to windowed mode)
* Can move player window to a screen other than the main screen, even during playback (very nice)
* Faster FF/RW scan rates available

I guess that's about it. I'm very happy about it, although I don't like the metal border around the windowed player window.

Bookmarks are new too, aren't they? That's a great feature. You can not only save your place in a movie, but you can place bookmarks at your favorite moments.

It also supports S/PDIF now. And I like the metal.

Yeah, I thought I included bookmarks, but I guess I forgot. They are saved even after you eject the disc, right? That's a great feature.

Uh isn't this new? Kinda of a significant if you ask me.

Then again, maybe it's not new...

Yes, the bookmarks are saved. You can also choose a default bookmark for a disc (e.g., to skip the FBI warning and opening credits) and start the disc there every time.

And check out the navigation features under the Go menu in DVD Player.

Also, it can rewind and fastforward at 32x, I think that's faster than before.
