Napster will be released next week, offering $15 prepaid cards at retail stores.

If you're a kid you can only buy from the iTunes store if you get an adult to set aside some money from their credit card. Who wants to have to ask their parents each time they want to buy some music?

Apple will miss the boat by not offering similar cards because:
a) Apple didn't come up with the idea first.
b) Apple have traditionally been terrible at dealing with retail
c) Apple are too arrogant about iTMS
d) Apple would see prepaid cards as too downmarket

iTMS will be overtaken by Napster within 3 weeks, mainly because of the prepaid cards.

Relax, prepaid cards are nice but iTunes already has similar things built in like allowances and gifts, both are more flexible than prepaid cards. I doubt it will be a succes, but if it does catch on apple can still decide to offer something similar....

Did you not understand the Pepsi promotion and AOL integration, or are you here to flame iTunes and promote Napster?
