I this true? In order to get to 10.1.5 (Office :mac's latest patch), you have to do THIS?:

- 10.1.2 patch
- 10.1.4 patch (includes 10.1.3)
- 10.1.5 patch

Isn't there a combined update available? Really?

Welcome to the fine, fine world of Micro$oft and their interesting install methods...

It sucks, but that's the way you have to go....

Thanks. Thought so.

OT: BTW, when will Office 2003 be released on the Mac? Office v. X looks UGLY on Panther (white pinstripes below menu bar)!

I found this out and was just as surprised. As a result, I decided to backup 10.1.5 as soon as I got it there, after deleting all of the extra rubbish that it likes to put there in spite of your selections in the installer.

I did this by way of the new built-in zip and it's only 58MB for Word, Excel, Powerpoint - and I assume it will work as one of the options is to drag the folder to the hard drive from the Office v.X CD. So next time this should be easier .

I actually have a backup of "Microsoft Office" folder, release 10.1.5. Nevertheless, I installed 10.1.2 -> 10.1.4 -> 10.1.5. Good luck!
