I am often downloading the newspaper in PDF and reading them on my PowerBook. I like full screen for that, and fit to width (which sets the font big enough for me to read comfortably). I was using Acrobat Reader with Panther.

Now in Jaguar, Preview is a lot faster. But how can I zoom in full screen mode? It seems I only can see a full page in full screen .

Under preferences, click on the "PDF" tab. Set it to zoom to width.

Also, you should customize the toolbar to include the "Zoom to width" button. (Under View menu)

Setting the preferences and adding a toolbar button will not help for full screen mode. It only allows zooming in normal mode.

Command (?)-M does nothing in full screen mode and obviously put the window to the dock in normal mode.

Am I missing something?

Yes, you are missing something.

What version of Adobe Reader do you use?

You are missing that he is not using Adobe Reader.
Nasrudin sat on a river bank when someone shouted to him from the opposite side: "Hey! how do I get across?" "You are across!" Nasrudin shouted back.
