Hmm--this is an infuriating problem. Windows in safari seem to be closing at random. Sometimes it happens as soon as a page loads, othertimes it happens when I have some tabbed windows--I close one tab and all of them will close.
Grr!!!!
Any ideas? Anyone? Bueller? :/
Seriously though, if you know anything-help would very much be appreciated.
In the past four or five days, I've had the window I'm loading close suddenly. Safari is still running, it's still the active application, but there's no window to see. I'm running 10.2.6.

that's exactly what's been happening with me. I'm running Panther.
