I have a strange Win User(-rights) problem: I cannot install/deinstall anything. Not in Admin mode, with user + admin rights, etc.
All the time "User has not the rights" bla.
I did an install over an older Win98 partition and another totally clean install from the Windows CD.

What is this???

I have never had that problem with win2k.

You might try a clean install...

Could you tell me your procedure???

I did:
VPC Disk Assistant -> new Disk (static size) for Win2000 -> boot Win2000 CD -> let Win change disk to NTFS -> Install
