Odd, is it sustained high CPU usage? I see it for a split second; however, not sustained....

That's not good.

Any Safari enhancements/extras you have installed?

Actually, yes - Safari Enhancer for minimum font (12) and a theme using SarafIcon. Both are latest versions... I am gonna disable both and see what happens... thanks

I just downloaded Pacifist 1.6, and now my CPU is still pinned up ay 100% some 10 minutes after I downloaded it!
Plus I didn't install any Safari add-ons..

PS, just looked at my Activity Monitor, and curiously enough, it claims it is iChat(!?) that is hogging all the CPU. Very odd..
The worst thing about having a failing memory is..... no, it's gone.

File Vault is off here.. But like the others have said, it does happen right after I downloaded something via Safari (In 10.3 & Safari v1.1). and yet it is iChat that suddenly hogs all the CPU, not Safari.
Someone said that restarting Safari fixes it. well, so does restarting iChat!
I smell a dirty Bug.
