Like the title says it, is there a way to run a Windows .exe that was created with Macromedia Director ?

The data files have .dxr extension.

Can I run them inside Director MX ?

thx

If you have the raw source files you can, but if you just have the .exe you can't unless you have VPC.

The CD comes with a .exe and the data files are .dxr

are the dxr's considered ase source files ?

if so, any instructions ?

You could try and open them in Director, and if all the files are there, create a projector and set it to build for OS X. (been awhile since I've used Director)

No there isn't.

As said above, you can run the .exe in Virtual PC, it's just a Windows .app . The .dxr file is a secure director file, you cannot edit or open it in Director anymore.

You'll need the .dir file to edit in Director MX.
