I have installed flash on my computer, and I know it is there b/c ie (ick) works, but many pages with flash animation don’t ork, i.e rad-e8, macboy, and others. All I get it the broken quicktime icon and nadda.
Am I missing something?

Somehow you have set QuickTime to handle Flash instead of the Flash plug-in.

Open System Preferences -> QuickTime -> Plug-In

Click on MIME settings…

Disable Flash file under Miscellaneous.

Edit: Yeah, thanks! It did work, I had to log out first. I realized that and tried again!
