What are some of you actually seeing for frame rates (found by pressing 'F' key while running visualizer) in iTunes?

We went from 40-45 fps in Jaguar to 21-28 fps in Panther on a PB17 1.33 with the power setting at highest performance, with choppiness to boot.

My DVI 800 PB was a smooth 35-40 fps in Jaguar and no choppiness probably thanks to level 3 cache.

What changed in Panther?

Is there cache or preferences carried over in the update that need to be tossed or some other means of optimizing visualizer in iTunes in Panther ?

Share some of your own frame rates in Panther on what machine and suggestions for cleanning up performance please.

Umm.. the frame count is locked at 63 at full screen. Or are you using another visualizer?
