I'm sure many of you are in the same spot I'm in with respect to archiving to CD..After 3,4 more years' worth of CD burning archives, you have a growing mountain of CDs which become unwieldy, even if you use CD archiving software, as I do (software that will read the stuff that's on the CDs so that you can search for items before even reaching for the physical discs).
My question to the forum is this: Is there a preferred method for archiving stuff to CD that makes it easier to manage them as time goes on?
Sometimes, I have things on CD that are completely useless and obsolete, like things back from OS 8 days, updates to software that I no longer use, work that I no longer want to keep.
Does anyone have a method for burning certain kinds of things together? Burn a project to a CD and nothing else? Is it better to make a disc image of the Data and THEN burn to CD, or just burn directly as-is in the Finder?
I think that I have a working plan..I'm just open to others' ideas that might be better.
Thanks much!
