I just put on Rbrowser 3.3 and tried to connect my usual FTP location and no-go. It comes up and says connecting but winds away, 4 evvvvver. <-- for those who saw sandlot--

I tried another FTP location, works fine.

I tried a Jag system with the previous rbrowser, no problem.

Anybody else having troubles or have any ideas, I'm all ears.

setup: Panther on a dual G5 trying to connect FTP via intranet

Thanks in advance! Pre- Your the best! I appreciate you helping me out in the so near future!

OK now, take turns! Don't everybody rush at once.

More info:

Tried Fetch. Fetch comes up with an error: Server dropped connection. Server may be too busy.

Yet I can connect with a pre-Panther system no problems.

I know these apps just borrow the functionality from the OS and give it a GUI front end, so the problems most likely are in OS X.

Maybe I should be posting this in the OS X forum?...

Hmmm... I've not had any problems with 3.3 and Panther.

You mention intranet... maybe check proxy settings in System prefs and/or RBrowser prefs.

Also make sure you're using "Passive FTP".

I didn't have problems with 3.2 and Panther either... perhaps you can try "downgrading"?

Good luck.
