there's always a delay between roxio anouncing an update and them actually making it available for download.

cut them a little slack...it's evening....just maybe they like to go home in the evening and not work 24 hours a day....no doubt the download will be available very shortly - like tomorrow maybe?

Yah... a download link is a rather trivial thing, though, so it's hard to cut them any slack.

Good, they and MacUpdate should not have posed it in the first place as there was never anything to download!

I think they just got slammed by traffic which forced them offline. Posting an update for such a kind of widely used product and the fact that it was announced all over the net, may have caused a distributed denial of service attack by download eager users

The original works fine with both my burners. Anything in this update that I might benefit from?

When I tried the updater that Johannesburg provided, Motion Pictures 1.0.3 would not work with Toast 6.0.3. So that might be one of the reasons why Roxio pulled the link and decided not to post the updater just yet.
Let's be patient and wait one more day or so when the update is finally posted. I'm sure they're working on ironing out any bugs that may have showed up at the last minute during testing...

Well, I found that link too somewhere else, downloading it right now, I'll see how much of a improvement it will give me after I'm done.

It's already supported on mine, but neither are combo + - writers.

Ah. I can select the checkbox for buffer underrun protection but the second I insert a blank DVD media the checkbox unchecks and greys out.
