I have been using iPhoto since it came out and I am now using version 3.
I currently have 858 photos in my photo library.
The problem is when I burn my full library to a CD via iPhoto, it claims there are over 3000 photos in there. During the creation of the disc image iPhoto starts to complain that photos are missing and I have to click OK to skip them.
Now I did have many more photos in iPhoto but I deleted them using the usual delete function of iPhoto (selecting the photos and pressing the delete key). I have also emptied the iPhoto trash and checked that the photos no longer exist on my drive.
It seems that the index or reference file for iPhoto still thinks the photos are there.
If I select all my photos except 1, the burn works fine stating that 857 photos are being burned.
it seems that when you select all your photos, iPhoto recognises that you want to do all your iPhoto library and seems to resurect a full list of all the photos that have ever been present in it.
The question is, does this affect performance when I use iPhoto, it does appear to be slower than it was.
Can I rebuild the index somehow?
