Three, they are typically any small 100x100 or less gif or jpeg with a small file size.

Right, what's the best way to go about making an animated gif from a movie file? Tried fireworks, but seems extremely labourious for such a simple thing...

Any ideas?

S'ok I found the right program to sort it - Graphics Converter of course!

.mov file -> gifs -> 1 animated gif. Genius.
