I think I already know the answer to this one, but I want to see if I'm missing something. I have a Canon LiDE 30 and I have installed Canoscan and Vuescan on a system running 10.3. Are there any drawbacks to using vuescan full-time aside from the loss of button functionality? Or is there something else entirely that I should be using?

I use a LIDE 50 (The sister to your scanner) with Vuescan and it works great. Canonscan is really quite useless to me. I don't miss that one button.
