I just installed Panther a few days ago on my AL PB 1.25 and have been ripping (highest performance, plugged in) CD's into iTunes at 160 AAC and only getting about 6.0x on average when under 10.2.8 i would get about 15.0x on average. has anyone else had slower rip speeds? although under 10.2.8 rip speeds would seem to very drastically between cd's. sometimes it would be around 10.x and the next cd would 15.x, anyone know what's up?

Just ripped my first CD using Panther. Speed seemed to be about the same.
