i recently got a new iPod, and when i first plugged it in to my powerbook iTunes prompted me to name it...so i did, but i mistyped the name...so i went to my desktop, and renamed it there...the correct name shows up when i select "about" on the Ipod menu, but everytime i connect to my powerbook the old incorrect name shows up in iTunes(but the new name shows on the desktop)...how can i get iTunes to recognize the new name?...

thanks

ps...OSX 10.3.1

Perhaps you just need to rename your iPod within iTunes itself, as you would with a playlist.
