I did a fresh install of 10.3 on my TiBook when it came out.

I seem to get a lot more spinning beachballs with Safari on Panther than Jag.

Anyone else notice this? Any idea what the problem is? Threading? Network?

It's annoying.

Safari works a lot better in Pantehr for me than Jaguar....

Not one crash yet.

Jaguar Safari crashed every so often.

yup, happening to me too. Also, did you hear about the cookies bug in Safari 1.1?

I'm going to stop using Safari for now until this is fixed. Also, on occasion, using command-L closes the window instead of going to the URL. Really annoying when there is more than 1 tab opened. Hopefull, this will all be fixed soon. Mozilla is great, but it's a bit clunky for me.

See if your "Autofill" in preferences is set to autofill "Other forms". I started getting more beachballs after upgrading to 10.3 and I think maybe the installation may have checked this box.
(See my discussion in http://forums.macnn.com/showthread.p...hreadid=189427 )
Autofill for forms is VERY handy, but slows things down a bunch.
