I had a problem this morning with iChat AV (DP G5/OSX 10.3.1) and keep getting the following error when I try and send someone a message:

iChat Internal Error!

NSInvalidArgumentException:
NSConcreteMutableAttributedString addAttribute:
value:range:: nil value

I tried deleting and reinstalling iChat and deleting my prefs, but still get the same error...I can't use iChat anymore! Anyone had a similar problem?

A friend of mine had this same problem. He had to completely reinstall the system archive didn't work. A few days after the complete wipe it happened again...he finally tracked it down to fonts he was activating with suitcase. Make sure your not activating any Helvetica type faces for instance, especially Helvetica.t1.

You're my savior!

I was adding some fonts for a job with the Font Book app and disabled Helvetica...that was it.

The annoying thing was other user accounts could use iChat...but mine couldn't.
