I'm switching from Windows to Mac. My PB should arrive in the next couple weeks, hopefully. I have Dreamweaver 4 (and Fireworks 4) on my PC. Apparently Dreamweaver 4 came out before OSX. Will I be able to use it with Panther or will I have to upgrade to Dreamweaver MX? Thanks!

??? Do you mean use a windows version of DW4? I supose you could use it in VirtualPC, but you should really consider upgrading to the Mac Version (ring and ask Macromedia about cross platform upgrades)

Sorry I wasn't clear. DW4 can be installed on PCs or Macs (OS 8 and 9.x). Since there's no mention of OSX, I didn't know if/how it would work with Panther. Thanks!

I see. I didn't realise it came on a cross platform CD, Install it a give it a try. Dreamwever MX2004 is a bit of a dog, D4 may run almost a quick in Classic.

Thanks!

I found this on Macromedia's website:

Dreamweaver 4:
A Power Macintosh
Macintosh OS 8.6 or 9.x.
64 MB RAM (128 MB recommended under Macintosh OS X)
135 MB of available disk space.
You must have at least 800 x 600, 256-color monitor, although 1024 x 768, millions of colors is recommended.
There's also info here
