Hi All,

I have a bunch of files that end in extension .cbz. I think that they're image or animation files, but nothing I have will open them.

I think that they may be PC files, but since they're not executables, I'm hoping that I may be able to open them, with a little help from my MacNN friends :-)

Anyone know what program I need to open these? (I have VirtualPC, but just a vanilla install, and I can't open them there either).

TIA for any help,

Chas

Are you running Panther 10.3? I believe a .CBZ is some sort of compression file that can be open with any .zip utility....

Hey gorickey,

You hit the nail on the head, it does seem to be some compression type. I had to manually tell Expander to deal with it, and I haven't managed to fully decompress any archive successfully (Expander keeps crashing during the decompress, usually in different places), but at least I have a starting point!

Thanks again,

Chas
