Did anyone have experience of using 3ivx's Doctor II with the codecs from the latest WMP 9? Can I doctor an .avi file with wma audio in OS X now?

Not with Divx Doctor, but you can use ffmpeg from the command line to make a new avi, or use divxwmaconverter which uses MEncoder which uses ffmpeg. This options works for most other kinds of audio too, like ac3.
