I'm at Apple. Apple.com/Safari doesn't let you download it, not even 1.0! Note I use Panther so I can't worry, but others... However, browsers.evolt.org let's you get v. 1.0. http://browsers.evolt.org/?safari/1.0
Edit: Supahcoolx reports that there's no clear link, but it's at Apple's site:
http://www.apple.com/safari/download/ to get v1.0. There's no clear link to it on the Safari page, though.

where is 1.1.1 (v100.1) available for download?

i need it because i've got a corrupted (i think) version on panther and it won't let me install v1.0 (see post: "Safari View Source - Blank Window")

(even though i've deleted it and tried to install v1)

i keep getting this error:

"You cannot install this software on this volume. This system cannot use this software."

Anyone have an install for v1.1? i can't find it on the Panther install disks anywhere. do i have to reinstall Panther entirely?

From what I understand you cant reinstall 1.0 on Panther. This means you need to reinstall from the CD's.

This means you have two choices:
1. Full install
2. Use Pacifist 1.6 (Panther compat) to extract the installer from the CD's.

A bit of googling should get you the second, and if you can look at the applecare discussion boards someone there has given detailed instructions.

I personally have not done it, as I am still on 10.2.8.

If it helps at all, I am having the same problem. And as a new media designer, this is becoming a real pain in the rump...

i used pacifist to get the installer for safari. still didn't help. I think i'll eventually format and reinstall the OS once i can backup everything.

i hear you about needing to view source. i use that ALL the time!
