Does anyone know whether files uploaded to the web using Transmit are uploaded in Ascii or Binary format? Do we have the option to use either format? I've looked through the Transmit preferences, but have been unable to find anything.

hehe, Menu bar>Transfer>Mode>Choose one

That menu bar can be a tricky thing to figure out sometimes, especailly when they name the menu "Transfer" like that. Can get confusing when you want to set the "transfer mode' and it's hidden away inside the 'Transfer' menu option.

Ah. . . . thank you! I had missed it. I noticed that the Ascii format is a text file. When I save a file as a "text file" in AppleWorks, Word, etc., is that the same format?

ASCII mode is for plain text files. For everything else, including AppleWorks and MS Word documents, you should use BINARY.
