Hi I am working in FLASH MX (latest version) and when working with my flash project the movie within it looks clear.

No matter what settings I try when publishing the resulting flash file is blurry.

I have tried everything like setting the quality to best, resizing, etc.

Looks great with the FLASH program but blurry when published and view via a web browser or flash player.

Can anyone offer some help?

What sort of content exactly is blurry? Bitmap or vector? And is your projector window size the same as the size you're using in Flash, or did you resize it while embedding in html?

Bitmap, it's the same size on the HTML page as it is in the FLASH project.

Have you tried changing the bitmap properties?
In the Library (Command-L), find your bitmap, and click on the small "i" button at the bottom of the Library window. There you can change a lot of things re: your bitmaps, e.g. set it to lossless or better if it's for an online file, unklick the "Use imported JPEG data" and try out different settings.

Hope this helps

Hi, I just tried clicking the "i" but the window that pops up doesn't give me any options to change anything.

it shows Update, Export, Import and a few details about the image but nothing to control lossiness or compression, etc.

That's what it should look like: (Flash MX 2004 professional)

Does yours look different?

Hi, the problem is the graphic is a imported movie so that is why I don't get those options, but thanks for the "i" tip, it does help for other images I had that are bitmaps.

I am going to try putting some vector text over top of the blurry text to see if it can hide it.

Anyone know if it's possible to grab a frame from a movie file within FLASH.

I have moved to the frame I want and if I screen snap it, I get a slight offset, if I copy it I get the whole movie.

How can I pull just one frame from the movie file? I want to overlay it at the end to have a static image.
