my i book has OS panther installed, but what should i use to see those VCDs, or CDs, i found even VLC can 't open it, what about mediaplayer for Mac? a good alternative? Regards

i don't think windows media player for mac plays vcds. you may have to track down a quicktime codec, but I'm not sure, I don't use em.

VLC can open and play VCDs. (!)

I use it frequently for just that purpose.

You have to choose 'Open Disc' from the File menu.

In Panther QuickTime can also play VCDs.
