I've got an mpg file that hasn't got any key-frames in it (for some reason). I thought I'd use quicktime or something to re-code it with them in. However, I can't get to the audio as it's a mpeg1 muxed track. What's the best way to redo the key frames in this case?

If you want to demux, download bbdemux (search versiontracker).

I ran into this about two weeks ago. As far as I can tell, there is no way to extract the audio directly. What I ended up doing was playing the mpeg file in VLC and capturing the audio using WireTap.

I used bbDEMUX to extract the video. Then I combined the video with the audio in Quicktime Player.
