I know it doesn't do as much, but I really prefer Preivew over Acrobat. Can I make all incoming pdf's open in preview without having to control click and select preview?
Thanks, Mark

yep.

click on any .pdf.

now get info.

go to the "open with" section, choose preview from the pop-up list and then select "change all" to make Preview the default .pdf viewer.

Assuming you are using 10.3.1 Panther:

"Get Info" on a .PDF file you would like to open...

Under "Open With:"

(Choose Preview)

Then hit the "Change All.." button.

*EDIT*: Damn, I am slow...

What more does Acrobat do that Preview doesn't? I hate Acrobat cuz it is hella slow. They put their splash page (advertising their full product) for an unnecessarily long time on launch. Plus, scrolling and all that seems so much slower. Give me less features/headaches and easier use- that's why I use an Apple.

You can at least turn off the splash screen in preferences.
