I was just wondering if anyone out there has used Endnote 7. Is it much better than 6? Worth the upgrade? Also, does it run OK under Panther? 6.0.2 seems to work OK, but I haven't really done much with it on this OS yet.

Thanks in advance

Both EndNote 6 and 7 seem to run just fine for me under Panther.

I recently upgraded to 7 myself, so I haven't had much time to delve into the new features. The one new feature I am looking forward to using is the ability to parse .rtf files (instead of strictly working with Word). I can now use an "alternate" word processor like Nisus Express if I wanted.

Cheers Cadaver. Can you do me a quick favour? Launch Endnote and check it's CPU usage in Activity Monitor. Endnote 6 uses up 15% in the background when running on my iBook 600, is 7 any better behaved?

The end note 6.02 plug in caused word to freeze up all the time. End note is such a pain to use I am going back to manually entering my references. Is there any other reference manager for Macs? I would rather use windows than endnote!
Yes, I know I could buy a PC, but why?

Try Bookends . I haven't used it myself, as I ended up switching to EndNote for Windows (which was more because of Office than EndNote).
I do not like those green links and spam.
I do not like them, Sam I am.

FYI: Endnote uses between 0.40 -0.90 % CPU on my setup (Word v. X, Panther 10.3.3., 640mb ram iBook g4).
