Previously I used Thunderbird, because I was familiar with it, since I've always used it in Linux. Now I installed Panther, and started using Mail.App because it's faster and integrated with the OS.

Yes import them has unix mboxes or netscape . I did that from mozilla to mail .app a year ago and it worked perfectly.
