Anyone heard anything? Having come back to it only very recently, I'm unsure what the usual upgrade cycle looks like. I used Palm Desktop back in the mid 90s on my old PalmPilot... And nearly a decade later they're only on version 4.1 for the Mac. That's discouraging.
Okay, I'm rambling... But has anyone heard anything?
Suggestions to switch to Address Book/iCal will fall on deaf ears, BTW. Address Book rocks, but iCal is a POS IMO.

Considering that there have only been, what, two updates to PD for OS X since its inception, don't hold your breath.
Why do you think iCal is so bad? The latest version is much improved and far better than PD4.1's calendar IMO (for my usage anyway).

Why do you think iCal is so bad?
1. The Drawer.
2. Can't change fonts in Month View (not sure about other views).
3. Comparatively slow on my 15" FP iMac and 12" PowerBook (Max RAM on latter).
As I've said in other threads before, I can't wait 'til iCal is more to my liking. I'd like to have all Apple solutions. Address Book is pretty tight. Wish they'd add some power-features to iCal, too.

I don't think they are ever going to update the Palm Desktop.
Palm knows that they make money on the hardware, and there is a large percentage of people who never sync with another large percentage that sync with Outlook and another large percentage that sync with other third party apps.
For Palm, it is only good to have the application, not improve it. Let others make and distribute better apps to sync with, Palm just wants to sell hardware.
