I have bought a cheap-ass wireles router, that will apparently work with my 15" PowerBook once it's up and running, but to configure the thing there are only Windows solutions. So, what I want to know, is if it is possible to configure the router using Windows under Virtual PC. Will it see the router? Is there a preference in Virtual PC I need to set that will allow it to access the router?

Thanks,
Simon

What kind of router is Windows only? All the ones I've seen are configured with a web-browser (except Airport ) and that's platform independent.

I am not too bright. The only thing that was Windows only was the USB interface thingy. I turned the AirPort card on and then, magically, the router worked. I typed http://10.0.0.2/ into Safari, entered my Zen username and password and now I have broadband on my iMac and PowerBook upstairs, the router is downstairs. It be mighty tasty.

Now I've just got to configure that router so that bad people do not take advantage of me, and as you said, that too is done through the web interface.

I've set up a wireless access point via USB through VPC before. But yeah, if you have a web-based interface, just use that.

Safari can be problematic, so I generally use Camino or IE.
