By accident I deleyed all my Itunes mp3 files. Fortunately I had it fully backed up on my iPod. I have used iPod Viewer to re-import all my songs to the mac, asking it to sort by Artist and then Album Name. I now have the issue that I am having to repoint to the songs in my Itunes library where the many of the songs are as the directory structure has changed. I have spent 3 hours on it today and am not even halfway there. Is there an automated way I can do this preserving all my ratings etc.? If not, does anyone know a way I can get it to show me which songs aren't linked rather than having to go through every song to manually check (I had it like this at one point but then I shut down iTunes and it now doesn't show me)?

I have tried Consolidate to fix it but it didn't work.

The songs that aren't linked should have a little exclamation point next to their names.

What a troll.

Why don't you delete everything from your library, then re-add everything. That will get rid of the false links and you'll be left with correct ones.

That's the quickest way, but you will lose track ratings, custom equalizer settings, etc.
