Hey all,

The other day on a slashdot discussion I noticed a link to MusicMobs, I checked it out and it seems cool. You upload your iTunes library XML file, and it takes that data and compares you to other people, so that you can make friends and find other music that you may like.

It is like Audioscrobbler but it seems to be only for iTunes, as such it can take advantage of iTunes-only data (ratings, play count, etc).

Anybody else use it?

Just signed up, although it seems that they're doing something to the xml update page or something. When I try to upload my xml file the page says "Updating will be back soon".

Looks cool though.

edit II: well, i suppose if i had read the front page i would have seen that uploading was broken for the time being…

iTunes Catalog has support for them, too in 1.5:

Hi all, I'm the creator of musicmobs and just stumbled upon this thread. It's good to hear that everyone is enjoying the site. I wanted to let everyone know that uploading was back up, so everyone can commence mobbing!

iTunes Registry has been doing something similar for a while, but for some reason my account on there is borked, so I'm giving musicmobs a try.
