It's probably embarassingly simple and easy, but... how do I get Déja vu to do incremental backups?

They say

Save time by backing up only the files that have changed since the last backup.

but using Déja vu 2.5.2 to backup to Toast 6.0.3 always produces full backups.

I use Déja vu to backup my documents folder to an external firewire HD.

Each time it backs up, only the files that have changed since the last backup are backed up - I didn't do anything specific to set it up like this.

Maybe its because your using Toast that files aren't being incrementally backed up.

Of course. It's much too fast to be keeping any kind of journal of what was backed up when -- it simply sends the folders to Toast.
Sometimes I just want things to work my way, and obviously forget to think in the process. Not that I'd be thinking much anyway...
