I had not use it in a very long time. Did it finally kick the bucket? It kept crashing randomly and I decided to upgrade to Panther -I figured that would take of the problems.

I wiped out the HD and tried to install Panther. but I got immediate kernel panics. Whenever I try to install MacOS9 (the one that it came with it) it freezes upon booting from the disk. I don't know what to tweak anymore... I figured that it's likely not the HD since there's nothing on it. Could it be bad RAM? I never experienced a bad memory chip problem is that what they look like?

Is it time to turn into a fish tank? I hope not...

Thanks!

It's a Rev B iMac 233 + 192MB + 30 GIG HD.

When did you add the RAM? Try taking it out and see what happens?
