Okie Dokie... I may be trying to do the impossible here but I've recently purchased a Nokia 6600 and have managed to get Isync & Bluetooth to work with it. And if I haven't mentioned it a number of times already, God Bless Bluetooth.
Now here comes the hard bit. Having just recently switched over from PCs, I still need to use VPC for certain task for supporting work systems. The trouble is that we only have dial-up access into our company and since the proprietary Dialler s/w for the MAC only works with the internal modem AND NOTHING ELSE, I'm in a little bit of a bind. There's no VPN solution too...
With the Nokia not having a data port for hard connections, I'm left with IR and Bluetooth and since Apple decided to leave out IR connections on their Rev A 17" 1GHZ PB, my only option seems to be bluetooth.
*phew* Now..
I've recently discovered the Bluetooth serial utility which allows you to set up Virtual Serial Ports to your bluetooth device using services on the Phone (Dial Up networking, OBEX etc..). I've tried to set one up and link it to the comms port on VPC but I've had no results so far on the windows side. The Blue tooth icon says it
s connectiong but the only results I've had so far are RFCOMMS failure on the mac side. On the windows side, I seem to get "port is used byanother application" when I've tried to access it.
Can anyone help me?
