I did a search for this and couldn't find an answer maybe because it is so obvious. I can't get my contacts and calendars onto my new machine! I tried just syncing my iPod to the machine but all that did was erase all the contacts in the iPod. The palmdesktop app didn't work like that.

So the question is two-fold:
1. how can i move all of my contacts and calendars to another machine
2. can you sync 2 diff. machines to the same iPod so they both update it with the more recent info and in turn the iPod updates the machines with the info?

Thanks.

Copy the Home/Library/Addresses
and Home/Library/Calendars folders to the Home/Library folder on the new computer.

You can also use iSync to keep the information between both computers and the iPod in sync with each other (so if you change a phone number on one computer, the other computer and the iPod will be updated with the new info).

Is there some setting in iSync that i need to change, because when i tried to sync my iPod to my new mac, it just overwrote all the addresses with the new blank contacts. I tried copying those directories before but it gave me a permissions error then i changed the permissions and it said it was corrupted.

Click the iPod icon in iSync and see what the settings you have are. It could be that you have it set-up to erase the contents on the iPod and then synch it with the Address Book on the computer.

I don't have an iPod so can't say for sure if this is one of the settings, but I have a vague recollection of this when I first set up my T68i.
