can i recieve big files via attachments with mail, like 3mb ones?

theoretically yes. the limit on the size of attachments is not set by the mail pgm but is often limited by many isp's....5mb limit seems to be most common but there are some isp's that use lower/higher.
Artificial intelligence is no match for natural stupidity...

someon's been trying to send me a movie file thats 3mb to my .mac email addy, and i'm on bellsouth dsl

I believe .Mac has a 3 MB attachment size limit.

Let him upload to your iDisk.

I wonder why people don't use the built-in Apache server? Its not hard to setup at all..

Maybe because few people have static IP addresses that are exposed to the internet, and they don't know how to set up Dynamic DNS?

actually a good way to send a file to someone over the net is to us AIM (ichat)... simply drag and drop a file over the person in your buddy list.

this will work with almost any AIM client (even on windoze).
