opened up itunes last night to burn some tunes, and, lo and behold, there's no "burn" symbol anymore ... (iPhoto still has one, though) ... I'm wondering if this is a Panther bug or a G5 problem (G5 dual 2 gig, 2 gigs RAM) ... any ideas?

Unless you have a playlist selected, (normal or smart, so long as it contains some tunes) the place where the "Burn Disc" button is will be either a "Browse" button (if you've selected your Library) or a "Refresh" button if you're listening to some radio. Is that what happened?

It wouldn't be a bug.
Just create a new playlist with MP3's in it and then select it, you will see the burn icon then.

Given that this is in no way hardware- or PowerMac related but software, I'm gonna move it to the Software forums.
And no, the fact that you own a G5 does not make up for it - it's not a hardware problem but software.
