I realize Pagemaker is dead, but I have tons of files and templates that I really would like to use (need to use). Can any other program open them?

man I'd hate to have to redue all that work!

Adobe InDesign 2.0 can do the trick...

Can't you still use Pagemaker? I just used it extensively last week (though I really do hate using Classic.) Or is it that you can't even install PageMaker on yoru computer? I'm using it on a 3-year-old desktop, so Classic still works and I also can still boot into 9.

That said, I'm awaiting the arrival of InDesign! Got it on ebay. Sometimes there are specifically PageMaker upgrades to InDesign listed there.

its not that i cant run classic, its just that it dosent print from there anymoe for some crazy reason and furthermore, I'll need to switch sometime.

I will look into it.

Hope its not $1000 like everything else out there

It's more in the $600 or $700 range. But keep your eyes on ebay. You should be able to pick it up for much, much less.
