Has anyone else seen this, where when I do a mail merge of address data in Excel to an envelope in Word, umlauts and accented vowels get messed up? Are there workarounds?
For example, an "ô" in the street address in Excel turns into a "Ù" on the envelope in Word. This is very annoying.
I have since found the solution. However, I don't exactly recall, what it was. I seem to remember it had to do with formatting the Excel columns with "Text" or "Number," where appropriate, rather than with "General."
