I've known for some time I have to get serious about synchronizing my laptop and desktop. For now, I've just been copying over my main word processing documents folder every once in a while to my laptop, as I mostly use my desktop for work. (And I back that up frequently.)

BUT -- there are pros and cons to the various programs. For those of you who use one of them, which one? Pros and cons? I read a story in either MacWorlld or MacAddict about this a while back, and seem to remember one is quite sl-o-w-w-w-w-w-.

Thanks for the input.

I use a freeware application called Synk. It may not be suitable for syncing your entire labtop but it syncs selected folders extremely well for me. You can't beat the price so it's worth a try.

Hope this has been of some help. Good luck.

I kept trying differnet programs over the last year and finally settled on ChronoSync. It has had the least number of updates over the last year and does it all.

Some of the other programs have updates every 2 to 3 weeks. You have to wonder why.
